We've come a long way..
changing, subtly, day to day.
Seeking answers
to our questions
and then questioning the answers.
Sometimes falling, sometimes flying,
always hoping, always trying ..
Merely waiting for that moment,
for that brief eclipse in time,
when we are strong enough to leave behind
the ladder that we climb ..
When we can tear apart the bars
and turn our faces to the stars,
nothing more for which to strive ..
